Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) is a UNESCO World Heritage Area. It attracts thousands of local and foreign tourists travel thousands of miles to watch tiny four wheel’s” class steam locomotive which are more than 100 years old.They also experience a journey along a route of engineering marvel. The “Z” reverses where the train goes back and then again goes forward are unique in the world. The loops at Batasia and Agony point are special sites where the train gains altitude within a short distance.

The DHR is the first and still the most outstanding example of a hill passenger railway, opened in 1881, it applied bold and effective rail link across a mountainous terrain of great beauty, it is still fully operational and retains most of its original features intact.

Joy Ride Train:

This is running from Darjeeling to Ghum and back to Darjeeling with a 10 min stoppage at Batasia loop and 30 min stoppage at Ghoom Museum and the fare includes entry fee of the Ghoom Museum.
