This classic trek gives you a once in a lifetime chance to get right up close to Everest. It is a tough trek that needs some preparation, but immensely rewarding. The journey starts in Kathmandu, where we spend a day touring this incredible city with the evening free to explore at leisure.
The next morning we catch an early flight to Lukla to begin our two week journey trekking through the mountains. We pace the itinerary sensibly with acclimatization days en-route in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. As we climb up through the mountains our days will be rewarded with incredible views of Everest and nights are spent in comfortable trekking lodges dotted along the way.
We make the final push up the Khumbu glacier to our target of Everest Base Camp, We’ll also take a short trek up to Kala Patthar for the best view of Mount Everest and Lhotse, weather permitting. We then begin our decent winding our way back down the mountains before flying back to Kathmandu.
Once back in Kathmandu, we have a free day where you’ll be able to take one of the many optional tours we offer including visits to the nearby towns or Patan and Bhaktapur as well as a rafting trip on the Bhote Khosi river. The evening is free for a final meal in Kathmandu.
On your date of arrival, Imperial Nepal Treks will be there to welcome you at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft). We will pick you and shift you for an overnight accommodation as per booking.
On Day 2 we will organize a full day city tour around Kathmandu Valley. The aim behind is to let you have the know-how of the Kathmandu city, the city of monuments, temples and monasteries such as Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath, Changu Narayan, Budhhanilkantha and many others. We will provide you leisure time for rest and preparation for final departure that is scheduled for the next day. On this day, we offer you a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali Restaurant where you will taste different varieties of Nepali food. Your overnight accommodation remains unchanged.
