Singalila Ridge trek in darjeeling is perhaps one of the best and certainly the most popular of all the treks in Darjeeling for those having a limited time at their disposal. This trek will take you to some of the mountain tops that seem to touch the skies and also to the deep valleys and beautiful lakes as well as to Sunderbans National Park. The view from Sandakphu is unsurpassed by any view anywhere. Where else can be seen 180 degrees of snow-capped mountains which Includes Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kumbhakarna, Kanchenjunga, Chomolhari in one single stretch of snows-an ethereal Beauty.
On Day 1 our guide will come and pick you up early morning from your hotel. The trip starts with 40 km drive till Dhotre from Darjeeling. After hour drive you will reach maneybhanjyang which is the border of India and Nepal where you have to show your details ( passport) to security personnel. Maneybhanjyng is also our breakfast point. After breakfast, we start our drive to dhotre which is another 13km. Dhotre is a small forest village Situated in Middle of Rimbik and Darjeeling. Our trek starts from Dhotre with gradual steep trail covered with Rhododendrons till Half Way. Around 2 hour Trek and we reach the border of Nepal and India and following Jeep Road for a couple of minutes, we reach Tumling, a small Gurung village in the border of India and Nepal. Our destination will be Gairibas. We will pass through Tonglu, Tumling and Jaubari. The total trek of the day will be 12 Kms. Lunch will be on the way. On reaching Gairibas tea and snacks will be served. Dinner will be served by 8 P.M
Day 01 Ends
On Day 2 guide will rise you early today for sunrise view. Gairibans is famous as bird watching and red panda destination. After breakfast the trail ascends all the way through dwarf rhododendron forest to Kala pokhari, meaning black lake. This route is also rich in Primulae species, Inpatients falcifer, Owl-eyed Impatiens, Sorbus, Pyrus, Enkaithus and Roscoea alpina. We take our lunch in Kalapokhari and later trek to sandakphu which is another 4 kms from kalapokhari, Evening have tea and snacks.the guide will take you to sunset viewpoint which is in Nepal side.

Day 2 Ends.
Day 3 is the longest trek covering 21kms so we start early. Our guide we wake early and take you for sunrise, Enjoy the panoramic views sandakphu provides of the very best that nature has to offer including towering mountains, colorful orchids and the mystical temperate forests.
The view from Sandakphu is unsurpassed by any view anywhere. Where else can be seen 180 degrees of snow-capped mountains which includes Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kumbhakarna, Kanchenjanga, Chomolhari in one single stretch of snows-an ethereal beauty. It is easy to understand why people leave hearth and home, traveling sometimes thousands of miles to walk through ripples of terraced fields of maize, rice, millet and barley, leaving the last traces of civilization far behind.
Guide will brief about every single mountain with its heights and other details.
After sunrise have breakfast and start the day,walk along the ridge through the forest of rhododendron, magnolia, chestnut, oak and silver fir to your lunch spot at Sabargram, 3536 m. All along, the imposing Himalayas loom large on the western horizon. After lunch, it is a short flat walk on the trail barring a gradual ascent finally before arriving at Phalut, a tri-junction point between Nepal, Sikkim and the Darjeeling District. Other than the different varieties of rhododendrons, you will also come across varieties of Meconopsis, Primulae, Orchids, Parnassia etc. Sandakphu and Phalut – situated at the altitude of 3600 meter, is the only place in the world from where one can see four of the world’s highest peak so close.
Evening after tea and snacks. guide will take till view point for better acclimatization if weather permits then brief about surrounding.
Later dinner then overnight in Phalut.

On Day 4 guide will wake you early morning as always for sunrise and mountain view. View from phalut also provides the same view of mountains but from different angle so in case if you miss the view from sandakphu due to bad weather or anything then you still have phalut, After breakfast, we trek down to gorkhey,trek route from Phalut to Gorkhey which is approx 15 km has its own beauty. Starting is a rocky trail till the last SSB O-P of Singalila national park, then the forest trail of mud and rock starts which is very fascinating for the trekkers. The forest is dense with both alpine and low altitude vegetation-but the bamboo forest there makes it more beautiful. Rhododendron in the forest makes it very scenic during spring, and the fallen leaves gives wonderful feeling of autumn . Being so quiet, it is a possible place to encounter some of the very unique birds, pheasant, and small mammals. After the Trek for almost 5 to 6 hrs the surprisingly sudden view of the Village “Gorkhey”, makes the trekkers forget all their tiredness. At gorkhey, you will also learn to cook Momos a local dish with local villagers and guide, afternoon free to explore gorkhey and enjoy your leisure time.

Later dinner and overnight stay in Gorkhey.

Day 4 Ends
Day 5 our last day, we will start early trek from Gorkhey. Walking through Sammanden and Rammam villages, we will reach Sirikhola by around 12 PM. After 1-hour lunch break, we drive back to Darjeeling in our private company vehicle(4hrs). Reach Darjeeling by Evening 5 pm, Guide will drop in Hotel.
